Armenia: Cases from National Institute of Health (NIH) Pilot Course
Summary
The citizen visits the local polyclinics to make the regular vaccination. The doctor proposes to make the vaccination with another vaccination substance with the explanation that this one has a good quality and there would not be any complication, but the patient must pay for it. The patient agrees but begins to have some doubts: she must to pay for his/her child’s vaccination which was envisaged to be free and she applies to the Ministry of Health of Armenia. Here we have an infringement to the rights of the patient to participate in the free hygienic and anti-epidemiological activities in the medical institutions guaranteed by the government with a resolution of the Government of RA, dated on 04.03.2004, N 318-N.
